A scene making beautiful use of special effects/CGI in film
I've chosen Fawkes's rebirth in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
When a phoenix grows old, it doesn't die. Instead, it will burst into flame and then rise from it's own ashes as a chick.
There is no symbolism to be found there now, is there? ;) To be reborn from its own ashes? What a magnificent thing?!

Such a cute little thing--and it makes the cutest little sounds. :) |

Oh! You're making me want to watch these movies again. Nice selection, Cordy! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know. I haven't seen Chamber in a long time but I usually catch the others on TV. :)
DeleteI agree, that scene is beautiful :). I love Fawkes!
ReplyDeleteMe, too. Fawkes is the best!
DeleteThis is a beautiful moment in the film!
ReplyDeleteI think I can say it's my favorite moment from Chamber. :)
Delete:-D Yes indeed! (This is my Period Drama account :D)
DeleteWait you like HP too?!
DeleteHaha, yes. Yes, I do. :)
DeleteGood one! I watched all but the first 2 of these in the theater, but my husband never saw any of them, so we spent the past year watching them in order, one every month or so. They really did a great job with most of the effects, and this moment is a stand-out from the first one.
ReplyDeleteI did like the CGI in the films. I still wish I could play Quidditch! :)
