Yours task today: to introduce yourself to a dragon Bilbo style
Allow me to explain by quoting The Hobbit:
(Shortened for brevity.)
". . .I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my path has led. And through the air. I am he that walks unseen. So, in the comments, in your own words and with Bilbo's style, I'd like to see how you would describe yourself if you were presented with a tricky dragon. Be unexpected, be peculiar, and have fun!
". . .I am the clue-finder, the web-cutter, the stinging fly. I was chosen for the lucky number.
". . .I am he the buries his friends alive and drowns them and draws them alive again from the water. I came from the end of a bag, but no bag went over me.
". . .I am the friend of bears and the guest of eagles. I am Ringwinner and Luckwearer; and I am Barrel-rider,"
~The Hobbit Chpt. 12

| Yuuup, here he is... O_O |
*gulp* Here's my best shot. :D
"I am the winder of words and can dwell in the unseen. From mountain's footstool do I hail though once I trod upon sands of a sea. I am a survivor of personal perils and the saver of bacon. I am one never cold and she who will challenge ideas. I am the uncommitted adventurer and I look beyond the lens. I am she who will silently see. *thoughtful pause* Fear me."At which point the dragon incinerates me and "poof" I'm nothing but a pile of ash. Sarcasm did not serve me well. ;) Enjoy yourselves!
Yours truly,
Cordy

I am a wrangler of words, a caster of literary spells, and the creator of worlds. I am cat-herder, rule-enforcer, child-catcher-and-releaser, house-tamer. I am Bottle-Washer and Food-Cooker In Chief. And I stand before you with the infinite power of imagination -- at my will, lives are exalted or ruined, hopes are realized or dashed, dreams go unfulfilled or are made reality.
ReplyDelete(Also, I tagged you today.)
That was pretty slick. I like it! :D
DeleteI'll have to check that out.
I am the wielder of powerful words and a walker of paths unseen. I come from one land and no land and all lands all at once. I am a survivor and a fighter and I've had battles all my own. I have created worlds out of ink and I rule them as Queen. I am more powerful than you think.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I go 'poof' as well :D. This was so fun, Cordy! Thanks for posting it *nodnod*.

Haha, "And then I go 'poof' as well". It's nice to have a fellow pile of ash. ;P
DeleteI'm glad you had a good time.
"I am Dream-killer, Crafter of Laughter, a sarcastic Schemer of the Underworld. I come before you, equipped with both Dagger of Sleep-Deprived Wrath and Vessel of Bitter Tears (which I might add were shed while acquiring the Mighty Ring of Knowledge from the region of Mordor)."
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know, I'm totally dead. But it was fun while it lasted ...
Finals are worse than facing that dragon anyday!
Crafter of Laughter << luve that!
DeleteHow did your finals go?
Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteI first came from the region of purple mountains. I arrive with two ballads in my heart. I have seen ships and worlds break, valleys raised high, and the sun rise when it was forgotten. I am the friend of they whose work shall never die, sweet mini humans, and the unconquerable chocolate. I see despite the mist and fog before me and can retreat into my own world at will, with the weapons of memory, hope and imagination. I am stickler-for-accurate-quoting-and-song-lyrics, chronic disher-washer, organizer of inanimate objects, desperate lover of pizza, and daughter of the King.
I love your new header Cordy! Is the one on the far left from Christmas In Connecticut?
~Rilla Blythe
Hehe, I meant DISH-washer.:D I commented pretty late. Hashtag brain retired before I did.:)

Hi, Rilla! It's been awhile since I've seen you around. (But that could be because I've been absent...hmm.)
Delete"retreat into my own world at will, with the weapons of memory, hope and imagination." That is well put. Great line, indeed!
Yup, that is from Christmas in Connecticut. Have you seen it?
"Hashtag brain retired before I did." XD Hahaha.
Oh my goodness, this is interesting! I will have to give it some thought and then I MIGHT get back to you. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I came up with a tag at my blog and I tagged you for it!
