Personal Update and New Looks

I took the middle picture.

And this is a picture I captured on a beach in Maine. It was a
gorgeous place!!

Gosh, I haven't done one of these in awhile. Hence the two headers pictured as I missed doing a post with one of these looks.

Well, you know the drill--
  • I'm sorry that I mention work so often. Forgive me as I explain about it. It really did all happen in a rush and it seems like I've been undergoing many changes because of it. There has been a lot that I have learned and gained by it but it has also added different obligations that were not expected. Therefore, I would that you'd overlook the DEFINITE overuse of the repeated mention of "work".
  • Went to see Hidden Figures with my sister and it was very well done! There is good humor throughout and smart people taking on a seemingly impossible task. What more could you want in a movie?!
  • I created another writing series over at the Sensible Pen like I did last November but this time it's focused on romance. Even if you're not a writer, it might make for some interesting reading. At least, I hope so. *that's a hint telling you that I'd like your input* If nothing else, I enjoyed concocting it. Read more about it here.
  • I started watching the Jane Eyre with Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke. I wasn't able to finish it before it was returned to the library but I was enjoying it. Timothy Dalton seems to be a good Rochester and Zelah Clarke wasn't bad either. Do any of you have an opinions on this version? As I've read the book, you don't have to worry about spoiling anything. :)
  • I was a little late to the watching but I still managed to watch the Westminster Dog Show. It was fabulous as always and this time the coverage allowed us to view ALL of the dogs. I don't know how I managed to bear such happiness--but I did! :D :D
  • I went to see A United Kingdom with my sister. It's based on a true story and I thought it was pretty good.
  • I have decided what kind of fairy-tale I'm going to tackle. I really enjoyed all of your comments on the subject and I'd like you to continue to comment as much as you'd like to give me ideas for future projects. Now I'm only going to have to figure out a clever way to tell you all what I chose...hmm.
  • I cut my own hair. I'd seen a tool advertised on TV and I took a gamble and I bought myself one. It was really easy to use and now I've cut and trimmed my hair a few times until I found the cut I liked. Note to self, cutting your hair with both your sister's looking on, is not recommended. It makes you way to nervous as they are more anxious than you are.
  • And after I'd given myself a hair cut I took a couple picture of myself which led me to upload a profile picture. (Normally, I hate selfies!) But this is an exception so yes, that's me! While the picture doesn't show the hair cut, it does show off one of my favorite hats!
That's about all I have to say for now. Type to you all later!

Yours truly,
Cordy

  1. I like the profile picture! I'll have to check out that series on romance, that's the hardest thing for me to write.

  3. Yeah anyway. Who wants to hear about boring old work?? JUST KIDDING!! In fact, I don't think you have been talking about work too much. Honestly. It never struck me so. And anyway, when there's something that takes up so much of your time it's only natural that it should make it into a blog post every now and then. Nothing wrong with that. :D

Your new writing series is awesome!! And everyone should go and read it. :D

Eeep! That's the version of Jane Eyre I grew up on! It's the best! (Actually, it's the only one I've ever seen all the way through, but still...I'm pretty sure there's not another one out there that follows that book so well.) I really like Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke in their roles. They just ARE Mr. Rochester and Jane to me. How far did you get before you had to send it back to the library?

Oooh! Do tell us more about your chosen fairy-tale retelling! I'm really curious to know which one you picked.

YOU CUT YOUR OWN HAIR? Wow. You're brave! I'd be scared to try that myself. Still it sounds like it worked out okay. Good for you!

And I LOVE YOUR NEW PROFILE PICTURE!! Just sayin'.

Oh, AND your new blog layout. It's so colorful and cheerful. You take really good pictures. :)

"Type to you all later." Heehee. That made me smile. :)

    1. REeeally? I thought I mentioned it all the time. Maybe I'm just always saying that I'm busy. It amounts to the same thing. Perhaps I should do a post explaining just what has been going on with work lately. Hmm.

Thanks, Miss March. You're always so encouraging! You're the best!!

Oh, you know, Jane and Rochester had just finished having their first proper conversation. So basically, I had to return it just as it was getting good!! I need to get it back and finish it!! :D As I was enjoying it so much I'm sure it would do me good to finish it. Haha.

      Yees, I'm workin' on that...

I DID! And like I said, my sisters were more anxious than I was. I'll cut my own hair but I will NOT dye my hair. Ever! Hahaha.

      Thanks!!

      Hehehe.

  5. Love the look!
About talking about work so much, well, I talk about school way too much, and also frankly I hadn't noticed that you did "too much". :D

Hidden Figures looks good! I'm gonna see it... soon.

I LOVE the picture!!! The pic is adorable and you're gorgeous, like for real. <3

Loved reading this; I always enjoy these posts!

    1. Huh, really? I think I talk about work a lot but I'm finding that my readers don't think so. That's a relief.

      I hope you like it!

      Aw thanks, Rae. :D

      Thank you!
