| Both of the pictures flanking Grace Kelly are from a trip I took to Cape Cod. It was so beautiful there!! I loved it. And the middle picture, as I said, is Grace Kelly and one of her kids. |
I only have a few things to mention for my post today. But, oh well. :D
- I ordered and completed a HUGE 3D Disney Castle Puzzle. It was so much fun! Now I thought it would go nicely in Hobbiton where I've got my Lego Hobbit Hole. Not so. The castle is much bigger than I expected and now I'm afraid I might have to take it down. Sad day. But that means I'll be able to do it again.
- I had Memorial Day off (still not sure how I managed THAT) so my siblings, along with my dad, asked if I wanted to tag along on a golfing adventure. After I clarified that I wouldn't be the one golfing (I used to golf but that was a long time ago), then I agreed. So with my dress and purse, I shared a golf cart with my sister. It was actually my first time driving a golf cart and I think I did very well. However, I did feel like Klinger from M*A*S*H as I tried to keep my purse on board and my dress in modest check. But it was all part of the fun. :D I really had an awesome time!
- I read a book that I surprisingly liked. I say surprisingly because it had all the makings of being a book I would pass by. The writing itself was rather poor and there were many flaws in the stories explanations but all the same, I found I enjoyed it for the tale itself. I judged it on the author's goal not on what they actually accomplished. I'm thinking of doing a post on it but only if most of you have read it because my review would have to contain spoilers to make any sense. I'm sure I've rattled on long enough about it so I'll finally give you the title: "Entwined" by Heather Dixon. You'll have to tell me in the comments if any of you have read it.
- I had a few days off awhile ago due to a cold so I played Lego Harry Potter on the Wii with my brother. Some levels we fly through and other times we wondered what in the world they wanted us to do. Haha.
- Went to see Cars 3 and really enjoyed it. After absolutely despising the second movie I was worried when they announced they were doing a third film. But this one was much better. Not as great as the first Cars but WAAAY better than the sequel film.
- And went with my older sister and my dad to see Spider-Man. I have to say I liked a few elements of it. (All of which happened towards the end). But then I was also really ticked about well, at least one comment that DID NOT need to be there. I'm debating doing a post on Spider-Man or not. Hmm...
- WATCHED FEDERER WIN HIS 8TH WIMBLEDON TITLE!!!! WAHOO!! I was only a little thrilled by the event as you can see.
Oops, I've put off this post for so long that I've had more to say than I first thought. My humble apologies. What have you all been up to lately?
Yours truly,
Cordy

LOVE your header Cordy!
ReplyDeleteMy brothers and sisters are waiting to see Cars 3. :) I quite glad to hear it is fun, I really thought it would be worse than cars 1 and 2. Cars 2 wasn't so fun at all.
Never seen Spider Man. Not a really fan of superhero's. :)
Memorial Day off sounds really fun. It is always great to go somewhere with family.
Wow! That must have been a whole job, puzzling all the piece together. I could never do that, I don't have the patience for it.
:D Thanks, Rachel!
DeleteI hated Cars 2 so much I was really worried when I heard they were doing a third. However, Cars 3 is a huge improvement on that awful sequel.
Yeeeahh, I'm a "selective" superhero person. Spider-Man wasn't really my thing.
That lego castle looks so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have only ever played mini golf, but it was pretty fun!!
Keep having an awesome summer, Cordy!
So glad you had a day off and were able to go on a fun outing with your family! (I sympathize with you about keeping one's dress in "modest check" though. Just in the past year or so I've started wearing more knee length skirts and yeah...sometimes I'm not always sure if they're behaving themselves properly or not! Haha.)
ReplyDeleteI've never read "Entwined" but I'd really like to read your thoughts on it anyway. Please do a review. I don't mind spoilers. ;)
I have to say I was just a little bit thrilled to know (at least slightly) what you were talking about when you mentioned Federer because...haha...I never heard of him till last week. But now I know! (And I feel so smart! Heehee.) The truth of the matter is, I can't remember ever watching tennis before. But we just happened to watch a few games while at my grandparents' last week so now I know a leeetle bit about it. *grin*
Your pictures from Cape Cod are gorgeous! I especially like the one on the right. :)
