~I still don't like clothes shopping, like, at all
~A dear friend of mine passed away
~Encountered some bullying the likes of which I haven't faced for years, and frustratingly enough it rocked my boat more than I wanted to admit (but I'm fine now so you don't have to worry for me :))
~I took on a management role at work, I still hate it but I can manage it now rather than the other way around
~Rise of Skywalker...huh?
~I did next to no writing, I didn't even have the motivation to try
~Fought off another round of bronchitis (go me! Hahaha.)
~My computer died

| I love this picture so much. There are so many stories here! |
~I took a trip to Ireland, that was far too short but no less marvelous!! And driving on the other side of the road, kind of messes with your head. I only did it for a bit but it was strange. (So with the trip it means that not only do I have a passport, it already has a stamp in it!)
~I'm in love with Frozen 2 (especially the music, which I listen to almost daily)
~I told myself I wouldn't fawn over baby Yoda, and then I totally did
~Went to a Halloween party dressed as Samantha from the old TV show Bewitched, and I nailed it! :)
~Classic books really can be the best!
~I got in a Hallmark type snowball fight while trying to build a snowman with someone in my life
~I managed to write a Christmas post on a blog that almost looked dead
~Went and had my first manicure and fell in love (my nails get destroyed at work and getting gels help with that--so 100% ridiculous but no less delightful, hehehe.)
~Kind of chopped off my hair, and loved it but am glad it's growing back :D
~Made a really cute Harry Potter rag quilt, I made it up fairly quickly and it made me feel very satisfied and homemakery :) (and I have fabric for a Beauty and the Beast and a Christmas one that I still have to take care of)
~Went to a local rodeo
~The live action Aladdin, is actually really fun and again, the music is pretty sweet. (Cordy, you and your music...)
~I got a new really fabulous computer
Alright, I promised you all that you could look for me at the New Year and we're two-threeish weeks in so I thought this post was due. I didn't want to get overly detailed so I defaulted to bullet points from some of the stuff that happened this last year. So here you have a very little bit of my last year and you're welcome to ask questions. Now, that I updated you, any other posts coming this way I hope will contain some kind of fun. I still miss you all and hope that 2020 is treating you fantabulously!
Yours truly,
Cordy

I'm sorry to hear that you went through some tough times in 2019! I'll be praying for you. <3 I hope that you have all the best in 2020!!
ReplyDeleteI love reading that you had good times, too! That's so neat that you went to Ireland! I was able to visit in 2018. Where was your favorite place? Oh, I loved Aladdin! They did a great job. The first time I saw Rise of Skywalker I wasn't sure what to think, but when I saw it again I loved it!
Hi MovieCritic!!
DeleteThank you for the prayers, those will always be appreciated. :)
You've been to Ireland too?! How fantastic!! I hope you had an incredible time!! Hmmm, as to a favorite place, I don't know how to choose. I liked a little town we passed through called Waterville. It was sooo beautiful and green and it was a perfect day really.
I've only seen TROS once so maybe I'll appreciate it more a second time but for now and to me, it felt more like a second film rather than a conclusion one.
YAAAAY! CORDY!!! So happy to see a post from you! And I highly approve of your new blog design! It's quite pretty, and for some reason it makes me feel cozy. I love it! :D
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed reading your update on 2019. Sometimes bullet points really are the best way to go! (A "Hallmark type snowball fight" with "someone in your life"...hmmm...I wonder what that's a reference to. ;) Sounds lovely!) (Oh and by the by, I did not mean to ignore your email! I've been meaning to respond...truly, I have...it just hasn't quite happened yet! Hopefully soon! *hugs*)
So we both got to visit Ireland in 2019! Isn't that cool? How long was your trip? What sort of things did you see and do there? And what was one of your favorite things that you did while you were there?
Take care, friend!
~Alyssa
ALYSSA!!!! I'm so glad you approve of the new look. I have missed you!! <3
DeleteHehehe. I can't imagine what I was talking about, hmmm... I knew you weren't ignoring my email so you don't need to worry. I know how life goes and time goes by. So I'll look forward to it when it arrives.
Did you really?! That's fantastic!! It was only seven days. It was all I could manage to take off of work at a time. (Which is a sore spot I'm not gonna lie, but anyway.) We drove the south part of Ireland and just toured whatever struck our fancy really. I'm glad you said, one of my favorite things, rather than making me choose the favorite--that would be stressful. ;) Ummm, I could have stayed at the Cliffs of Moher for days and never been bored or desired to leave. It was breathtaking. What about you? What was was of your favorite things you did?
Hope you're enjoying 2020!!
Yours truly,
Cordy
I told myself I was annoyed at all the baby yoda memes . . . then I watched the show, yeah, he's pretty cute.
ReplyDeleteI listened to a bit of Naomi Scott's song and was like, that's it I have to see this movie in theatres. We decided after watching it again that is the movie is really Genie not Aladdin. Will Smith just steals the show, he's hilarious.
I was too tired/uninspired for more than reading/movie logs last year, but I'm currently more energized to post more this year. I don't think i had a bullet list as long as yours for this year. Yeah for "adulting"
You fell under the baby yoda spell too? I feel much better for having caved then. ;D
DeleteI do like her song, and you're right, Genie is hysterical!
I totally understand how you feel. Last year was just too draining. I'm hoping the new year helps revive some of the, honestly magic, that I feel comes with blogging sometimes.
Have a great 2020, Livia!
