The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow

You know what? My 'tomorrow' happened last Saturday when I got my first sunburn of the season. *no celebration required* (I assure you, this is a 'first' I wish I could have avoided. ;)) Being part of a baseball family, my day was spent at a ballpark and the sun was out! As a result I look like a strange version of Mulan as seen here:

Because the sun was on the one side of my face, I have a rather strange burned split almost exactly down the middle of my face. ;) It's actually more funny than painful at this point. (This was not the case a day ago.) Haha. So beware! The sun has come out and spring is on the way! :D

Yours truly,
Cordy

P.S. Sorry I didn't post last week. I took a small internet break that was rather nice. But, I am slowly catching up with the blogs and this post will have to do until I corral some of my thoughts into an actual post offering. :)

  1. Ooh, sunburn . . . at least it's nice to know that spring has sprung! I usually get an annoying sunburn right across my cheeks and the bridge of my nose. It doesn't look nice.

    1. I know what you mean! I hate when I sunburn my nose because any time I winkle my nose, or make any kind of face really, it hurts! Haha.

But yes! Spring is on it's way! (I say confidently after watching snowfall yesterday. ;))

  2. Goodness! I've gotten sunburned before - it hurts. You got one half of your face burned?! Once I got a burn where I was wearing glasses, but they were slipping down my nose a bit, so that the white part wasn't where I ordinarily place my glasses. It looked REALLY FUNNY :P

  3. Aww. Poor, Cordy. :( Sunburn is NOT fun. I'm glad to hear it's feeling a little better, though. :)

Oh, so that's where you were! I was wondering. Glad you had a little break from the internet. I think we all need that once in a while. :)

  4. Oh dear. :/ :) I have been so fortunate as to avoid sunburn so far (my time will come, I am sure) but my freckles, which had subsided into less prominent existence through the sunless winter, are beginning to pop out again. Ah, well, I never hated freckles as much as Anne did anyway. :)

    1. Wait...as in you've never been sunburned?! Or just not this season?
You have freckles?! Lucky!! I never understood why Anne didn't like hers. :)

    2. Haha, yes, I've been sunburned before. I have only managed to avoid it so far since last summer. However, I do not burn easily, fortunately and shockingly because I have really fair skin, but I guess freckling is my skin's thing, not sunburn. I didn't really get sunburned until my first year of Girl's Camp when I was 12. I usually only get sunburned once toward the beginning of the summer and then I'm done. It's rather fortunate. :)
Yes, I have a TON of freckles. I went through one single two-day phase of not liking freckles after or while I was reading Anne of Green Gables. :)

    3. Okay, now I get it. Phew, I was about to get insanely jealous but now I will only be reasonable jealous. ;)

Oh, no! Love the freckles! Embrace your freckles!! Hahaha.

    4. I love my freckles now! :) I've really loved them ever since my best friend bragged endlessly to me because she has more than I do. I'm happy with how many I have now. :)

  5. Oh no! I am so sorry you got a sunburn! They're so nasty. Glad it isn't too painful anymore, though!
