What Would You Do: Sense and Sensibility Edition

I haven't made many of these games so I'll just reestablish "the rules" here. :D

It's pretty simple, I've come up with some scenarios that are inspired by the events in S&S, what I want you to do is answer the following questions in the comment section as yourself. Not what you wish would happen but what you think you'd honestly do at the time. Do have fun!! :D

Elinor is all of us, admit it. ;)

You're in the company of a "Mrs. Jennings" who knows of a crush that you've had in the past or that you're currently suffering from (yes, I meant suffering). The lady has decided to create a conversation around the topic so that the whole room becomes aware, are you embarrassed, blushing and silent, or are you able to use your laughter as a convincing tool in the hope of quickly changing the topic?

You've just been told that the talk of your social group is that there is a man who likes you and who you're friendly with, now there is a threat he might be trying to get to know you better, do you flee for a long, potentially rainy walk, or do you remain during his visits so you can examine your feelings?

A woman you hardly know has just confided a great secret to you, are you able to contain your feelings on the subject, or can she read your feelings like your face is a billboard?

Someone you fancied very much, perhaps even loved, turns out to be engaged. He never did anything but befriend you but can you help yourself from feeling a little bitter and betrayed, or are you simply crushed and accepting?

Now, the same man from above has just turned up in your life now free and unattached and wants to know your feelings, are you immediately overcome and potentially a little weepy, or are you hesistant and a little distant as you try to work out what to think and how to respond?

I hope you have fun!!
I can't wait to see your answers!

Yours truly,
Cordy

  1. Oh, I love these games! So much fun. :)

    1) I would 'use my laughter as a convincing tool in the hope of changing the subject'. I am actually quite good about laughing at myself in embarrassing situations.

    2) I am probably more likely to go on that walk, despite the rain.

    3) I can definitely contain my feelings.

    4) Yeah, I am just crushed and accepting of it.

    5) To be honest, I am hesitant at this point. I mean, after learning of his engagement, I probably tried hard to detach myself from him, so by now I don't know if I feel quite the same anymore...if that makes sense.

      1. I'm the same way...sometimes. ;) It totally depends on my mood for some reason.

      2. Very interesting...

      3. Ditto. :)

      4. Yeah, me too.

      5. I'm with you. I'd probably do the same.

I guess the three of us are all fairly similar. :D

  3. My answers are whatever Marianne would do (basically the opposite of what Elinor would do). Marianne is the character I'm most like.

    1. Haha, "basically the opposite of what Elinor would do". I'm not sure which of the sisters I'm most like...

  4. What fun! :)

    1) I'd definitely be embarrassed, blushing and silent.
    2) I'd remain to examine my feelings. :)
    3) I honestly don't know!
    4) Oh, I'd hardcore be crushed, but I'd instantly and continually keep trying to convince myself that I had no excuse to be crushed, and that it was nothing, and that my feelings weren't that strong anyway, etc.
    5) I assume I'd be hesitant and a little distant, but I couldn't say for absolute sure.

Thanks for the game, Cordy! :) <3

    1. I hope so! ;)

      1. Then I would be laughing and turn the subject from you. It's what friends do you know. Hehehe. <3
      2. I honestly flip flop because if I'm going to be blushing during that exchange, I'm headed for the rainy walk instead!!
      3. You don't! Haha, well if if ever happens you let me know what you did. ;)
      4. SAME! Like exactly the same.
      5. For sure.

I'm so glad you liked it.

  5. Oh wow, I love these kinds of games! Apparently I am very much like Elinor so let's see how this goes...

Q1: Definitely blushing and silent. Reality has proved that.

Q2: Remain, how else do I get to know his feelings?

Q3: probably read face like a billboard. Though my face tends to lie...

Q4: Definitely crushed but accepting. I've had it happen too many times to feel betrayal...

Q5: ahh, maybe a little weepy, definitely will want to hide at least...

    Wonderful game, Cordy!

    1. 1. Reality is very unkind sometimes, don't you think?
      2. Good point.
      3. "Though my face tends to lie", what a strange talent you have.
      4. Aww, I'm sorry. That's awful. :'(
      5. Yes, hiding is a natural feeling for me too.

      Thanks, Catherine!! <3

    2. @1 - yes, yes indeed. So mean sometimes....

@3 - It really is. I tend to grin like a wildcat when I'm mad, and I scowl when I mean to be pleasant. It's very odd, and I don't like it.

@4 - serves me right when I let my romantic side run away - which happens wayyyyyy too often. (I am in serious need of a prince....this is getting ridiculous).

      You're welcome!

  6. 1. Laugh. I'm a pretty convincing actress. If all else fails, I will laugh maniacally and be carted off, feigning madness. Not exactly one of the options, but as it involves laughter and certainly provides a change of subject, I think it counts :)
    2. Flee. Absolutely flee.
    3. I should be able to contain my feelings on the subject.
    4. Crushed and accepting, I think. I'm not really a bitter person when it comes to this sort of thing.
    5. Distant. Always distant!
This was masses of fun, Cordy! I'll look forward to another!

    1. 1. XD I'm dying!! "carted off, feigning madness", well I suppose it would help you escape the situation. Hahaha.
      2. I still don't know what I'd do...
      3. Me too.
      4. For me it would depend on the situation and how deep my feelings were.
      5. *whispers* I'd probably be the same way.

Good! I'm so glad to hear it!! :D Thanks for your comment, it made me laugh!! ;D
