Hamlette tagged me with the Greatest Showman Book Tag, thus, the epic picture. Even though I'm not a huge Showman fan, (it's not that I don't like it, it's that I don't love it), I thought the idea was a fun one soooo, here I am. :) Thanks, Hamlette!!
Rules of today:
answer the questions
tag whoever you want
using the graphic is optional, but recommended
~’The Greatest Show’: Name a book that’s as entertaining as a circus~
I'm not a huge circus person so I don't have much experience. However, I'll go with some books that were really entertaining for me, The Mysterious Benedict Society trilogy. Becuase I love puzzles and such! :D
~’A Million Dreams’: Name a book that’s set in a fantastical world~
Golden by Cameron Dokey. I've reread her books so many times. I just chose my favorite...at least it's my favorite at the moment. I really love her fairytales so my favorite varies by mood. <3 They're simple-ish but still enjoyable nonetheless.
~’Come Alive’: Name a book that makes you outrageously happy~
Though I could answer the Lord of the Rings, I found they could apply elsewhere which means I can say, The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy. I don't think I can talk about this book enough. The intrigue and the romance and the spectacular ending that is worth waiting for! WOW! I just can't get enough of it!
~’The Other Side’: Name a book that changed your mind about something~
Hehehe, so I'm stretching the category here because the Lord of the Rings, has changed my mind about The Lord of the Rings. I insisted to my sister while we were growing up that I would NEVER like them. Now, look where that got me. ;)
~’Never Enough’: Name a book that you’ve re-read more than once
I really struggled with this category because I re-read A LOT but I finally decided on, The Awakening of Miss Prim by Natalia Sanmartin Fenollera because I wish more people knew about it!
~’This Is Me’: Name a book with a character that reminds you of yourself
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, guess which character I am...
~’Rewrite the Stars’: Name a book with a forbidden romance
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I wish I could take the time to make a top five or top ten list and see what books made it because I REALLY love Jane Eyre. (Both the character and the book.)
~’Tightrope’: Name a book with an adventurous main character
Once on this Island Trilogy by Gloria Whelan. My friends, this is a wonderful trilogy. It's simply, yet beautifully, written and they would be great and easy summer reads for all of you. (Don't believe me? Ask Natalie. She recommended them to me in the first place.)
~’From Now On’: Name a book with a wonderful family (related or otherwise)
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I mean, how can you beat Matthew and Marilla? You just can't tell me that they aren't a family. <3
Thanks for the tag, Hamlette!! It was loads of fun!
Let me think who should I tag...anyone who has actually lighted one or more fireworks, consider yourself tagged!! ;D Also, in the comments tell me, how many of you have done such a thing?
Yours truly,
Cordy
