Happy Valentine's Day

As Valentine's Day has fallen on the Sabbath, I thought it would be fitting if I shared my favorite example of love found in the scriptures. Consider it a Christ-centered Valentine. :)

It is a beautiful thing for me to read that Jesus Christ's last instructions before dying on the cross to the men who loved and followed Him, was to provide for His grieving mother.

"25 ¶Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home."
John 19: 25-27

I wish you all a happy Valentine's Day.

Yours truly,
Cordy

If your comment doesn't appear immediately don't worry! I moderate my comments so check back in a few days and you might find it!

Don't misunderstand my moderating. I am trying to contain and avoid unsavory comments and spammers. This does not include those who disagree with me, only those that are unable to state their disagreement agreeably. I have already said that I would enjoy different opinions.

So please, do comment!

P.S. I don't mind comments on old posts. :D
