Now, as requested, some of you dear readers have asked me some questions that I will take the time to answer now. Thanks, for your readership and friendship!!
Natalie asks:
~What do you wish to do in your life, career wise? Do you plan on going to college? Do you hope to get married and start a family?
Ideally, I'd like to become a successful author. I believe I have it in me. I just have a/n
Um, I'm not currently looking at college. Haven't since I graduated high school.
Yes. But you know, that may not be in the cards for me for awhile. Sometimes I feel a lot like this:
![]() |
| I do have to wonder, why this is a TEENAGER post...maybe you should be out of your teens before you're looking for your Prince Charming... |
~If you could go to a party hosted by a fictional character, which fictional character would you like to host the party?
Ha, I wish I could say Bilbo's birthday party but you see, I might have said I would have to dance a jig if I were there. Soo, *scraping some idea together* OH! Daphne Reynolds (from What a Girl Wants. :) Really, cool question!
~Would you rather be a librarian or work in a bookshop?
Bookshop, I think. Libraries might be overly quiet for me.
~Three of your favorite foods?
Sushi, Mangos, Chocolate. (NOT altogether!! :P)
~What is one of your happiest memories?
I don't do well with questions like these because--how in the world do you choose your happiest, you know? Would it work if I tell you one that makes me laugh my head off anytime I think of it? I don't know if you'll like it or not, but here goes nothin'.
Once upon a time, we had an inflatable pool in our front yard that unfortunately was left unattended for far too long. Well, the time came for it's removal, as it was beyond the point of rescue, for reasons unusually, and exceedingly peculiar, and altogether quite impossible to describe, my younger brother and I were assigned to dispose of the evil smelling devil.
This was several years back now and I couldn't help thinking at the time that:
But there was my brother to think about. If this wasn't going to be my cup of tea, that was nothing to what he was thinking about the task. So I just had to think calmly and rationally about the whole... ANDHURRYITUP!!!
![]() |
| Deep breathing all around. |
The smell of the rotting pool, that had undoubtedly been used for animal pool parties without our knowledge, greeted us as we approached and our reactions were mixed to say the very least. I tried to laugh, choking on the smell in the process while my brother was decidedly gagging.
We had dragged the garbage can across our impressive yard so there would be very little
Okay--so, THAT wasn't going to work and we had to start all over in the mental preparation all while trying to ignore the lingering smell that was now on our hands. It HONESTLY, took us maybe an hour to be rid of this pool. We would overcome one of the vile obstacle, first the smell, then the slime, and the water splashing us only to be faced with the spiders, snakes, and lizard's heads underneath the rotting thing. (Not really, only tons of spiders and worms.)
After we had stuff the heinous thing into the can we were released to go and shower off. I showered maybe three times to try and get the smell off while my brother confessed to showering twice himself. Why, would this be a happy memory? Because of the extreme bonding time with my brother, naturally!! Hahaha. To this day, we, neither of us, have smelled anything so vile in our lives nor preformed a more disgusting task and yet we will laugh at the memory every time. :D
~Would you rather live in a fictional world or a real (past) era in history?
Oh, my, I can't be sure... I'd really like to go to Middle Earth. The past might be fun, but I don't know if I would get bored.
~What was the last thing that made you laugh recently?
My sister and I doing yoga together...yup, we're not pros. Not even close!
~Favorite childhood toy?
I went through a phase where I seemed to collect stuffed dogs and I would name them after the people who gave them to me. Therefore, I had a golden retriever with a red velvet scarf that went by the name Grandma. :) I still love her!
Miss March asks:
1. Do you prefer living in the country or in the city?
Country. Barton Cottage, anyone?
2. What type of stories do you normally write: fantasy, adventure, romance, ordinary everyday life, etc.?
Umm, I've dabbled in them all, really, well, except horror. No. Thank. You. :P But, I like to write ordinary everyday life, as you put it because I like the study of people. . . . In a very non-creepy way. Haha.
3. Do you tend to write historical or modern day stories?
I've attempted more historical but I'm transitioning to modern day. Look at me dodging these questions without even meaning too.
![]() |
| Hey, look! It's me trying to write. |
4. Are you a night owl or an early bird...or both? ;)
NIGHT OWL!! ONLY!! Hahaha.
5. Do you ever think up names that you would like to name your children someday? What kind of names do you like?
I actually don't think of names for my kids. I might at random, when I'm talking with my sister. (As in, I'll wait to hear the names she's thinking of and I, out of the blue, want them too. Hehehe.) Here are a few names I like though:
Tatiana, Natasha, Chapel, Haven, Elliana, Lovisa
As you can see, I have a strange kind of style and these are mostly names I would like for characters--not for my future kids.
6. Who is one of the most annoying heroes (or heroines) you've ever come across in a book or movie? (Not that he's supposed to be annoying, but just that he annoys you, for some reason.)
Catherine Morland, Captain Wentworth...annnnd, I'm kind of drawing a blank.
I also can't stand characters that wallow in self-pity if there is no actual problem with them. I really had to consider this because, if I don't like the main characters I stop reading the book/watching the movie, and they leave my mind.
7. Have you ever dyed your hair, or would you ever consider doing so? What color would you go for if you did?
I've never died my hair because I'm
8. Are you one of the goofier members of your family, or do you tend to be the proper, more serious type?
In what situation? Hmm, this is a problem... Okay, here's the thing, if I feel like the situation might need a little humor I might be the goofy one. But if someone is already on the job, I might be the one reining them in. So, a little of both? I'll just read the situation and play it accordingly. Maybe if I say, I can be goofy, is that what you're asking? :D
Rae ask, sort of:
Rae tagged me while I was working on this post and so I thought, why not add more questions to an already long post full of questions? <<That there, is ONE wordy sentence. Wow. :P
1. Do you love L. M. Montgomery?
Yes, ish. I really, really, like Anne. But I'm having a hard time enjoying her other books.
2. How long have you been blogging?
Um, weelll, I had a private blog through my teen years but for this blog, about two years. But I opened it to the public less than a year ago.
3. What are your top 5 hobbies (number can be variable)?
(Not really in order here.)
1. Writing for my blog (I would say writing in general but I'm trying to make that my job, not my hobby.)
2. Reading
3. Embroidery, it makes me feel old-fashioned. :D
4. Coloring. Like, in coloring books. My mom just got me a great 50s fashion one that I can't wait to start coloring. It's a simple but calming hobby.
5. Photography and photo-editing.
4. What's your favourite fruit?
Haha, mangos. I could eat mangos like some people eat apples. Or strawberries, I like strawberries.
5. What's your favourite holiday?
Hmmm, *smile with contented sigh* Christmas. :)
Alright then, I think you made it. Thanks for the questions, my friends!!If any of these questions struck your fancy, I'd love to read your answers in the comments. In the meanwhile, here is Frank to sign off for me. :D

CONGRATULATIONS, CORDY, ON 100 POSTS!!!! SO exciting! :D
ReplyDeleteI loved your answers to those really fun questions! :) Hehe, when I read "Sushi, mangoes, and chocolate" I was wondering, "All together?!?" then read what you had said after that :P
Oh wow, your happy memory sounds really interesting! It sounds really gross, to be honest, but haha, yeah, that would make a really fun sibling memory! :D
Yoga? Hmmmm ;)
Awww….the stuffed dogs sounds so cute! I did (and kinda still do) collect stuffed animals. Not sure why I do it, I just do ;)
Country! In definite agreement with you there!
Ooh, very nice names!
Black or red hair dye? Cool! Would the red be a more auburn colour or a bright bright red? If I’m allowed to ask, what’s your actual hair colour?
Same here! I really enjoy the Anne of Green Gables series, but so far all the other L.M.Montgomery books aren’t as enjoyable. Well, excepting Emily of New Moon, I guess. That one was slightly weird at times, but yeah.
Love your hobbies! Have you ever heard of Paint By Number’s? They’re almost like colouring a picture except well - you’re painting them. I really love those, and like you said, it’s really calming too. My mom calls it therapeutic ;)
Loved reading your post, Cordy, and congratulations again! :D
I wondered about clarifying that point, and now I'm glad I did. ALL TOGETHER? EWWW! Hahaha. :D
DeleteYes, VERY GROSS. ;P
I'd go for a moderate red. Not really BRIGHT but more of what Anne Shirley might call a dark orange. But I don't want it to look like a dark, dark, red. I'm kind of a dirty blonde.
YAY! I'm so glad I'm not alone! I will read the Anne's but when I try to branch out--I just can't do it. They don't have the charm of Anne to me.
The Paint By Numbers would actually drive me crazy. They are a little too detailed for my taste. But when I see them in the store I'm always like "Oooh, that's so pretty". Then I see all the painting and I force myself to walk on. ;D I agree with your mom.
Thanks, Blessing!
Aw, I loved this! I wanted to ask some questions for this post too but I always have trouble of thinking them up, and then it was too late. But I loved reading your answers! I used to collect stuffed animals - and still do, actually. Particularly stuffed orange monkeys. They're my favorite, don't ask me why :P
ReplyDeleteCatherine Morland is one of the most ANNOYING heroines that I have EVER READ. I suppose you could say she's just not my type of person, but really. The horrible things she imagines, and her general lack of common sense in general, gets on my nerves like billy-o. I can't understand why other people like her!
P.S. I love that gif of the guy writing. I do that thing with my hands like all the time, when I can't think of how to phrase something!
No worries, Rosie! I have a hard time just coming up with random questions too. Unless, they're Would You Rathers. :)
DeleteOrange. Monkeys. *nodding while I process* Oookay. Hahaha. That's pretty funny! :D I didn't even know there were several orange monkeys to collect. I'll have to start watching to see if I can spy a few.
NEITHER CAN I! I've tried to like her or find positive qualities but she just bugs me! :P
P.S. It's great, isn't it?
WHOA. WHAT. I JUST--THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS TO MENTION I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL BE ABLE TO STOP COMMENTING IN CAPS. *SEARCHES FOR CAPS LOCK BUTTON* Okay, I did it ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, Cordy. The new look. I absolutely love love LOVE your new header! It's just--it's just--GAHHH. And the sidebar and the background and your profile picture and EVER'THANG.
Second, CONGRATULATIONS ON 100 POSTS! That's an immense achievement, old girl, and I'm ever so proud of you!! :D
Thirdly, may I just say, I love the gifs that you used to illustrate your points in this post. Especially the Parent Trap one. And the You've Got Mail one. They made my day happier ;)
And then Frank from High Society as your "sign-off" was adorable, too. Frank Sinatra, though <3
Hehehe! I loved your opening, Olivia!
DeleteThanks! :D
Gifs are perfect for making days better, don't you think? You don't have to watch an entire clip, you just get a small dose. They're really helpful.
Wow! You not only knew Frank but you could name the movie too! Well done, Olivia! :D
First of... FRANK!
ReplyDeleteSecond of all that Tom Hanks gif is literally me as I'm typing up this screenplay I've got to finnish
https://au.pinterest.com/OverTheHillss/%7E-the-secret-of-the-nile-%7E/
:D Great Post! I'm saving your HP one for August :D
Yes, Frank. :)
DeleteI saw your board, I didn't know it was a screenplay though. That's exciting and cool! :D I hope you keep me updated with your progress on that!
Oh? What's in August? :)
Congrats Cordy!!! 100!? How cool! And such a great post! I really like how you were able to actually get ride of it. I would have run away screaming!!!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! I meant get rid of the pool.
DeleteHaha, don't think I didn't want to run away. I really did. Nasty thing. Hahaha.
DeleteWoooo!! Congrats! I need to figure out what I am going to do next Sunday for my Year Blogovesary.
ReplyDeleteGoodie! Congrats on your year of blogging! :D
DeleteOooohhh, Cordy!!! This was lovely!
ReplyDelete-Well, based on that story about the pool, you definitely have it in you to become a famous author. You wrote in an interesting, lively style that made it fun to read. You are GOOD.
-I agree about living in the country. I would hate to live in the city, but the country--Barton Cottage in particular--is lovely.
-I like writing, coloring, and photography/photo editing too!
This was fun, Cordy. Congratulations on 100 posts!
Awww, THANKS, RAE!! That is very sweet of you to say. :D :D I appreciate that!
DeleteCottage lovers unite! :D
Thanks again, Rae!
Oh my goodness! What a delightful post!! Where do I begin? (At the beginning, where else?)
ReplyDeleteOkay...so I really liked that quote you included about prince charming. That was FUNNY! And the story about you and your brother cleaning out the pool? HILARIOUS! "I'm not mature enough for this." Hahaha. (That's probably what my reaction would have been, too. ;))
A golden retriever named Grandma? Aww. That's adorable. :)
Mwahaha! HORROR stories? No, I'd hardly expect you to write something in that genre. :P "No. Thank. You." for me, too. :) Oh! I love the study of people, too! People are just fascinating. (Haha. But of course, we wouldn't be creepy about it. No, sir.)
Aww. I like the names you came up with. Very pretty and unique.
Catherine Moreland and Captain Wentworth? Now, Cordy. What IS the matter with you? Those are two very nice characters. Haha. I'm teasing. You can be annoyed at them if you must, and after all I did ask the question so I guess I ought to let you answer it the way you want to. *chuckle* ;)
That's me, too. It would be cool to see what I looked like with a different hair color, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to do it. Much too scary!
Thanks for answering all the questions, Cordy! This post was so much fun! And all the gifs! Wow. I LOVE that one at the end. Just perfect. :)
~Miss March
Well thanks for all the great questions!
DeleteIs your prince charming in the same predicament? Or is yours locked in battle with a dragon somewhere? ;)
Yes. I love both the dog and the namesake. But the namesake more than the dog, you understand. Hahaha.
Yep, negative on the horror. Just--why? :P Creepy, you and I? Of course not! We're far too busy being charming crazies for that! ;D
I loved the name question!
I'm afraid it's true.
What colors would you go for if there wasn't a risk, as in, you could restore your true color if you hated the change?
I'm so happy I could find that scene in a gif. It's really funny! Thanks, my friend!!
~Cordy
Haha. I think my prince charming's in the same predicament as yours. Somehow I can't picture him fighting dragons... ;)
DeleteHa! Of course! That's as it should be. ;)
Indeed yes. Nothing creepy about us charming crazies! We're not creepy, we're nuts! :D
What color would I go for? I think I would try blonde, red, and black. Just to see how I look in all the different colors. (And no, I wouldn't go for any unnatural colors, because they don't interest me. Too weird. Heehee.)
~Miss March
YAY! This was so great!! And HAPPY 100TH POST!!
ReplyDeleteOh, PLEASE share some of your writing with us, sometime! I totally understand about the fear, though. But...I really want to read your writing. I'm sure we'd love it. :)
Heehee, I totally enjoyed your pool story. What an awful (but memorable) experience!
You don't like Captain Wentworth? Why?
Ooh, that 50's coloring book sounds so neat!
I love strawberries, too. :)
Perfect gif at the end. :D Again, CONGRATS ON 100 POSTS!! -throws confetti-
Oh, Natalie! Thank you for wanting to see some of my writing and for your encouragement! I can't make promises but I will try to see what I can manage.
DeleteIndeed! On both counts. ;P
Okay, well that is quite a loaded question...are you sure you are prepared for this? Alright, I think Persuasion is flawed to begin with. I wish there was more backstory, detailed backstory, on Anne and Wentworth because the way it stands, their love story lacks. . . the love part of a love story. Captain Wentworth spends most of the book trying to 'get' Anne. He sends digs her way anytime he can. Even knowing her as well as he does and still loving her we don't get any of that until his letter at the very end! How was the poor girl to know his true feelings when he was giving so much attention to those two sisters? Who he was lucky spared from marrying even after his careless and selfish behavior. I just wanted a little more build-up and depth to the story but its just unbalanced in my view. That is a short version of how I feel. Should I ever feel the need to upset the Austen loving blog world, I shall probably write an entire post on the book to elaborate further. ;D Hahaha. Feel free to skip that post.
I can't wait to dive in!
Oh yes!
Thanks again, Natalie! *sneezes from confetti in nose* ;)
Aww, you are so welcome. I really hope you share sometime! (But it's okay if you're not ready. :))
DeleteHmm...I suppose I can see your point, although I don't necessarily agree. I think Captain Wentworth spent so much of the story battling his own feelings and trying NOT to let Anne know he still loved her. I think his attentions to the Musgrove girls was an attempt to persuade (heh) himself into thinking he was "over" Anne. But, I DO agree that more sweet scenes between the two of them would have been nice. :)
No, indeed! I actually hope you do write that post sometime. I may not agree, but I would find it interesting. ;)
Heehee. *Starts cleaning up all the confetti on the floor.*
