The explanation is really simple for this title change. When I first came into the blogging world with Write On, Cordy! I thought it was really going to be a place for my writing. If not my novel writing then my little essay type writings. That hasn't really been the case. And considering I now have two blogs devoted to different parts of writing the thought of change came quickly and naturally. (I'm finding that I have a sometimes reckless knack for "just going for it".) I hope this doesn't upset too many. In truth, I'm not overly sad to see the old name go. It's been a faithful little name for almost four years and now, but I needed something new.

Well now that is all over, I just want to explain a little bit about the new name. (For those of you who may be driving yourselves wild trying to place this little lyric, it's from Disney's Peter Pan.) Now, "merry" to me is what serendipitous is to the rest of the world. For the record, I don't like the word serendipitous. I think it takes too long to say for such a happy situation and if you're going to take the time to say a word beginning with "S" that brings a smile to someone's face it should be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Just sayin'.
Alright, back to "merry. The imagery that comes to mind when I think of something being "merry" is a bright deeply happy occasion. It's a happiness that you feel in your soul. It suggests smiles that hurt your cheeks, a joy that fills your heart, endless laughter, and a simple but contented happiness. So merry things are what I try to promote here on the blog. If I can make you truly laugh along the way, then I have succeeded! With these goals in mind, welcome to Any Merry Little Thought.

P.S. Besides the title change and the posting frequency adjustment, I don't think you'll be shaken by any more great changes here at Any Merry Little Thought.

I love the new name Cordy!! I really liked "Write on Cordy" too, but this name is just as sweet. I LOVE anything that pertains to the Disney Peter Pan. LOVE THAT MOVIE <3 <3

DeleteThank you! I don't think anyone saw what a mess it was before. When I was trying to change everything to work as I intended, it just wasn't. So this look I have now, is like plan H. Hahaha. So yes, I designed the header but I didn't draw it. I only used Photoshop. Sorry to disappoint you. ;)
