My Life
- Finished the Middle Earth map puzzle that I mentioned back in March. It was so much fun!
- I have restarted work on a HUGE cross-stitch that I started some time ago but only recently returned to work on.
- While cross-stitching, I am listening to Ivanhoe. (Thank you, Olivia.)
- Had a LotR movie marathon with my grandpa and brother which played some role in my planning a LotR week.
- High-school baseball has finished for my brothers...for a few weeks until summer ball starts up. :)
- Had a movie day with my great-grandma and we watched Alice Adams and The Shop Around the Corner. It was my first time watching both films. Hopefully, more information will be coming on that score soon.
- My brother received his church mission call. He will be serving in the U.S. for two years and will be leaving in June. He's just glad he's speaking English. ;) (Yes the mission call is more specific but you know me and internet security and all that junk.)
- While we're on the subject of my brother...he, my older sister, and I went to the Captain America/Avenger's marathon that ended with the showing of Captain America: Civil War. Ehh, ehh, *sigh* Don't worry, that's about as detailed a review as you will get from me. I'm still thinking but that doesn't matter.
- Started reading Nicholas Nickleby and found out that I had gone far to long without some Dickens flying around my head. (Thank you, Miss March.)
- And weeded one patch of our yard and it was the first weeding I had done this year. It was cooler in the morning but had warmed comfortably by the time I finished in early afternoon. I wore a hat but no gloves. (Random Cordy fact: I don't like limiting any of my senses, plugging my nose or ears, wearing blindfolds I NEVER do, and I hate wearing gloves.) Haha, do you want a laugh? For the longest time I would take forever to do the dishes, and all I ever had to do was load the dishwasher. But I only used one hand because I didn't want to have both hands dirty at the same time. In the garden, I don't hold back, I wear clothes that can get filthy and I get both hands dirty. At this point I am loading the dishes with both hands but my mom used to laugh at me because of my different attitudes in the garden and the kitchen.
Yours truly,
Cordy
P.S. Don't forget to add any questions you have for me to the "Questions" tab. You can read more about that here.

OOOh if it's not too late I would love to do the LOTR questions!
ReplyDeletePlease do, Evie!! :D
Delete=D I'll make them into a video!!
DeleteOh, okay. :) I've never had them used in that format so I can't wait to see what you come up with. :)
DeleteYour new look is so pretty, Cordy! I really like it :).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Savannah. :)
DeleteYour new header is scrumptious, Cordy! I like it!! :D Very nice job, indeed.
ReplyDeleteYou saw Shop Around the Corner? Goodness, I LOVE that movie! What did you think of it? (Oh, that's right. You said information will be coming on that soon. I guess I can wait. ;))
That's so nice that your brother's mission isn't going to take him outside the United States. I know if it were me I'd be relieved to be in a place where they speak English, because I've never been very excited about learning a new language. :)
Oh, you're more than welcome, Cordy. I'm just glad to have had a part in helping you get some Dickens in your life again. ;)
~Miss March
P.S. What's the deadline for submitting questions?
Thanks! I think it's my favorite I've yet made. :)
DeleteI know you do! I was at my grandparents and saw they had it so I popped it in because I remembered seeing it on your blog. And yes I liked it and yes more is coming, soonish.
I've never been one for languages either. I dabbled halfheartedly in French. Tried Spanish several times. Glanced at German and studied some Latin. But I can't remember, let alone speak, any of them! Haha. Terrible of me, I know. ;)
Thank you very much!
~Cordy
P.S. I really have no idea. Haha. I just thought while this was an 'update' type post I would give a reminder but as I'm not sure when I'll reach that hundred mark I can't give an answer. Sorry. But I'm sure there is plenty of time! :D
Love the new look! Have you seen the Little Women in which June Allyson plays Jo?
ReplyDeleteAnd I hate wearing gloves as well! It cancels out my sense of touch.
Thank you! :) YES I have!! :D I love it!!
DeleteExactly! :P No thanks. Haha.
Your new header is absolutely lovely! :D I just love it.
ReplyDeleteI want to think up some questions for you! Hopefully I can do so soon. :)
Thanks! :D
DeleteGood, I'll look forward to them!
My first viewing of Captain America: Civil War left me depressed, moody, and decidedly frowny. I talked some stuff over with my best friend, waited a couple weeks while I considered various things, and then went to see it again today. It is much improved upon a second viewing! In fact, I think it might be the strongest MCU movie since The Avengers. (If I can, I'll blog about it this weekend, but I'm taking tonight to catch up on a bunch of blog reading instead.)
ReplyDeleteI was fairly depressed myself. I had too many mixed feelings to actually feel enthused about the movie. I haven't seen it a second time. I'm waiting for the DVD and my library. I'll be interested to read your thoughts when you get around to posting them. :)
