So tell me, which of the March sisters do you most relate to and why?
Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy?
Um, I'm Jo. 100% Jo. I can scheme with the best of them, I have troublesome moods and sometimes I wish I had her warning pillow to help unsuspecting siblings from interfering. ;) I have large, even unrealistic, dreams and hopes for my life and can become depressed with myself when those dreams seem out of reach. I've also never done much with my hair expect chop it off occasionally. Thankfully, though, I don't think I've ever had the misfortune of looking like a porcupine. Hehe. And in general, I have a heavily dramatic side to me.
Yours truly,
Cordy
Ooohh! Yes, I think I relate best to Jo as well. I write, I am very headstrong and impulsive, I am not always ladylike, etc. But I have some of Meg's motherliness in me, because I'm the eldest girl in my family too.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is, there are four girls in my family, and each of us is most like a different March sister. Well, to a point. I'm a lot like Jo, we all agree, and my youngest sister is a lot like Amy (golden curls and artistic talent and all! Oh, not to mention spoiled. :) but the other two are each an interesting combination, though I think they're both more like Meg. Y'know?
I think it's cool how you almost live in your own March family and that each sister plays a role. :)
DeleteI have Jo's temper, but Meg's domestic and Amy' aesthetic taste . . . and none of Beth's sweetness. I'd rather be Meg, except her complaining about "poverty." I can relate to her most, I think. Off, to take more silly quizzes to see (I've gotten two Amys, one Meg, and one Jo).
ReplyDeleteMost of the tests are silly and not likely to be accurate, but this onethis one is good, and you can rank who you are most and least like by your answers. This is an old-fashioned paper test though.
ReplyDeleteI like the variety you got from the quizzes. In the test you added I still came out as Jo with a smidgen of Meg.
DeleteI'd have to say Beth or Jo. Mostly Beth because I don't really like to be the center of attention. But I also relate to Jo because I like to write about memories I have with my sisters and I hope to make it into a book someday! :D
ReplyDeleteBut I confess that I have only seen the 2005 version and have not read the book yet 0.0 Rest assure, it's on the top of my TBR/TBW list!
Well, it's good to know that it is well placed on the To-Read list. I have a friend that's just reading it for the first time. I don't understand how anyone could have missed it! ;)
DeleteI think I have a tie between Jo and Amy! hooray for you! you don't look like a porcupine
ReplyDeleteXD

Another Jo, yay!
DeleteHaha, yes! Celebrate my lack of porcupine hair!
I think that I am the most like Amy. But the grown-up Amy. Or maybe a cross between grown-up Amy and Meg? I don't really know.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that everyone has to specify the matured Amy. No one wants to be the brat child of the family. But I like grown Amy, and Meg is also a good choice.
DeleteYou're reminding me why I did NOT choose a specific March girl when choosing my blogging name. THIS IS HARD! I relate to all of them in so many ways, it's very difficult to choose which one I'm most like. But, okay. If I have to choose one, I guess it would probably be Meg. I'm definitely the motherly, homemaker type--happiest when in my own little home, with my own little family. :)
ReplyDeleteFun post, Cordy!! :D
It's funny you chose Meg because I don't know if you would agree with this or not but I think you are a lot like Beth. You are still the little homemaker and taking care of everyone's needs. But you question your own worth like she does. You don't easily see your own good points and think you are never doing enough. Sound familiar, or am I way off the mark. :)
DeleteThanks, my friend! Sorry to force you into this difficult choice! :D
No, I'd say you've given pretty accurate description. It was, in fact, a very close choice between Meg and Beth. I probably lean more toward Meg just because I'm not as sweet as Beth is, and I DO care VERY MUCH about getting married and having my own family someday. Beth is more content without that, than I am. Also, I did the test that Livia Rachelle linked to and I came out pretty much in favor of Meg, though my answers were sort of a toss up sometimes between her and Beth. (I got one Amy answer, too. I wonder if you could guess which one it was. No I won't make you do that. It was no. 8. Does that sound about right for me, do you think? ;)) And I didn't get any Jo answers, which actually rather surprised me since I DO feel like I can relate to her. Maybe I relate to her more in feeling than in practicality. (If that makes sense.)
DeleteApologies accepted. Just don't do it again! Haha! ;D
Ooh, of course, I didn't account for the family thing. :D Very important indeed! O_O Haha, your one Amy answer--and I'm not sure I agree with that. Just sayin'. :) And yes, I understand the different ways to relate to a person. Sometimes you can understand or appreciate a character but you personally wouldn't always handle the situation the same way...is that it?
DeleteHehehe, I'm making no guarantees. ;)
Yeah, I'd say the way you described it is just about right. I can definitely relate to some of Jo's feelings, but I dare say I wouldn't react the same way she does in most situations. :)
DeleteOh, you cruel girl!! ;)
*Cordy tries to cackle and ends up choking--as she always does when she tries to do ANYTHING with her voice* Hehehe.
DeleteI can actually relate to grown-up Amy and all of them except Jo, haha.;)
ReplyDelete~Rilla Blythe
Well, I'm glad. :D The world can't handle too many Jos. Haha. We need the other girl's qualities too! Are you artistic, by chance?
